STAI meeting 1920x1080

Myths and facts about supplements and vitamins in particular – what does 300% RI actually mean?

Once again, there is focus on dietary supplements in the media - and we want to ensure that you have real and correct knowledge about what our products contain and why.

What does 300% RI mean?

The Reference Intake (RI) is an average guideline for how much an adult needs of a vitamin or mineral to avoid deficiency diseases. However, the RI is not an upper limit – and research shows that many Danes actually have a higher need.

For example, many people get too little vitamin D due to limited sunlight during the winter months, and stress can increase the body's need for vitamin C. That's why we develop STAI products that support your health with well-documented nutrients – always within the safe limits set by both the Danish Veterinary and Food Administration and the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA).

Is it safe?

Yes! We follow the authorities' recommendations and keep up to date with new research. For example, the Danish Veterinary and Food Administration has set an upper limit for vitamin D of 95 µg daily - our product contains 15 µg, which is well within the recommended levels.

We believe in holistic health. We believe prevention is a sound investment.

Health is not about quick fixes – but about balance. We see a tendency for the debate to become polarized: on the one hand quick fixes such as medical weight loss products, and on the other hand warnings against dietary supplements. Meanwhile, the real challenge is forgotten: More and more Danes are overweight, but at the same time malnourished.

At STAI, we work for a realistic approach to health. We are health realists, and we develop products that support a busy everyday life, where it is not always possible to eat perfectly, sleep 8 hours and avoid stress.
