Chop/slice vegetables, pre-roast meat, cook grains (like rice or quinoa) and prepare other basic ingredients that can be combined for meals during the week.
Example: You can prepare a large portion of quinoa, grill a quantity of chicken and prepare vegetables that can be used in salads, wraps or as side dishes.
Ready meals:
You prepare complete meals that can be stored in the fridge or freezer and quickly reheated.
Example: You make 5 portions of a dish such as chicken with vegetables, wok mixture, lasagna, soup with vegetables, which are packed in separate containers.
Portion pack snacks:
You can also prepare snacks in portions to avoid unhealthy choices during the day.
Example: You make portions of vegetable sticks, hummus, nuts or fruit that can be packed in bags or small containers.

Personally, I chop cabbage, broccoli, peppers, pears, beans and the like for 3 days. This makes it easy to grab a little salad for both lunch and dinner. I always have beans and lentils in the kitchen cupboard and eggs in the fridge, which are all good sources of protein. An easy and simple way to get a wide range of healthy nutrients.
Meal prep saves me time and makes it easy to get the healthy meals. I eat everything, but of course there are some that I eat more than others to keep the healthy lifestyle in balance.
And then it's nice with a glass of wine 🍷. We must remember to live and enjoy life. Not just survive it 😊
