Poem by Nadina Starr, 85 years

IF I COULD LIVE MY LIFE ON
-would I dare to make more mistakes
-relax more
-dare to venture out into deep water
- be more silly
-take fewer things seriously
-take more chances
-eat more ice cream and fewer beans < / span>
-maybe have more worries but fewer imaginations.

I was one of those sensible and serious hour after hour, day after day, year after year.
I've had moments.

IF I COULD LIVE MY LIFE ON
-I wish I had more of those moments
-it one after the other
-instead of living so many years thinking about tomorrow.

I have been one of those who did not leave without a raincoat, hot water bottle and parachute.

IF I COULD LIVE MY LIFE ON
-would I travel with less luggage
-would I start walking barefoot earlier in the spring and
-continue further into the fall.

IF I COULD LIVE MY LIFE ON
-I wanted to dance more
-take more carousel rides < / span>
-pick multiple daisies
